Tonight's League One encounter between Sheffield United and Peterborough United has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Referee Craig Pawson inspected the pitch at Bramall Lane this morning, but deemed that conditions could compromise player safety due to overnight rain.
"There are several areas of the pitch that are causing real concern," Pawson told the club's official website. "The pitch is very heavy already and with the forecast for more rain we have to think about the safety of the players and officials.
"There is no way this game could start. There is standing water already and with the forecast in mind conditions are not going to improve."
A new date is yet to be set for the match.
