Nigel Clough has revealed that he is considering a move to bring out-of-contract midfielder James Wallace to Sheffield United.
The 22-year-old is out of contract following his release from Tranmere Rovers, just two seasons after arriving at Prenton Park.
Clough told The Star: "It's still early days. James is out of contract but things like compensation still need to be agreed, so there's plenty of work to do.
"He's a good young midfielder and people might already say we've got plenty of those, but when the opportunity comes up to bring in a talented player then you take it."
Wallace would team up with Chris Basham and Andy Butler if he was to complete the move to Bramall Lane, after the duo signed for the club this summer.
