Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has declared himself pleased with the progress made by his summer recruits.
Fernando Forestieri, Barry Bannan, Daniel Pudil and Michael Turner each joined the Owls late in the window.
Carvalhal had to be careful when it came to integrating each player into his first-team plans, but he believes that the quartet are now approaching full speed.
Speaking to the club's official website, the Portuguese said: "All the players we brought in at that time are better at this moment. We felt that the players we brought in, in the last minute of the transfer window had some difficulties in the beginning and we said that.
"We had small problems with those players because they were not ready and we care about the health of the players. We left them out of one or two games, like Bannan at Newcastle and Turner also. But in this moment they are better and more ready."
Wednesday have enjoyed a fine run of form in recent weeks, having won each of their last four games in all competitions.
