Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray has blamed "poor defending" for his side's 2-0 defeat to Norwich City.
The Owls suffered their second loss in four Championship games on Monday as they were beaten at Carrow Road.
Bradley Johnson scored twice for the hosts, but Gray believes that his players could have done more to stop the midfielder finding the net.
"We contributed to our own downfall with some poor defending for their two goals," he told BBC Sport. "For the first one we should have got the ball away long before it came into our box and for the second we switched off at a corner after dealing with them well before that.
"I also felt Norwich had an advantage by having an extra day's rest when we had to play on Saturday. It would be fairer if we all played on the same day. Now we have got to make sure our season doesn't fizzle out."
Wednesday remain in 12th place in the Championship table, though they are now 17 points adrift of the playoff positions.
