Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt a blow with the news that Jose Semedo could be out for up to two months.
The Portuguese midfielder fell awkwardly during last night's Championship defeat to Wigan Athletic, suffering a fractured fibula and ligament damage.
Wednesday physiotherapist Paul Smith told the club website: "He will see the surgeon in London on Friday and we expect him to be out for six to eight weeks."
Semedo has made 22 league appearances for Wednesday this season.
