Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City have played out a goalless draw in their Championship match at Hillsborough this evening.
The hosts made a bright start to the match and Atdhe Nuhiu headed wide, before Jacques Maghoma fired an effort over the bar.
Maghoma came close again when he was slipped through by Nuhiu, but Darren Randolph tipped his strike behind.
Wednesday were creating all of the chances and on the half-hour mark Nuhiu headed a corner over the bar.
The visitors had their first attempt on goal three minutes later, with Andrew Shinnie drilling an effort narrowly wide.
With a minute of the first half remaining David Cotterill saw his shot tipped over the bar by Keiren Westwood, as the two teams went into the break on level terms.
At the start of the second half the home side almost made the breakthrough when Chris Maguire sent a free kick inches wide of the post.
The visitors showed more attacking threat following the restart and Clayton Donaldson went close with a header from Cotterill's cross.
It was still Wednesday who looked the more likely to score and Nuhiu had another chance when he controlled a long ball, before dragging an effort wide.
In the final minute Cotterill had a long-range free kick saved for the visitors, and it proved to be the last chance of the match as the game finished without a goal.
