Sheffield Wednesday have had an offer for Brentford midfielder Alan Judge rejected by the club, according to reports.
The 27-year-old joined the Bees from Blackburn Rovers in 2014 and has impressed during his time in West London, scoring 13 goals in 63 appearances.
A number of clubs, including Burnley, are understood to be interested in the Republic of Ireland international, whose current deal expires in 2017.
According to Sky Sports News, Wednesday are the first club to make a move in the January transfer window, but their bid has been rejected having failed to meet Brentford's valuation of the player.
Brentford boss Dean Smith recently urged the club's board to keep hold of Judge and is thought to be considering offering him a new contract.
The Bees currently sit 10th in the Championship table, three points off Wednesday and six behind Burnley.
