Sheffield Wednesday's Caolan Lavery has been recalled from his loan at Chesterfield less than a week after it was extended until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old had his loan extended on Monday, but he is now back with the Owls because of injury concerns.
Both Liam Palmer and Will Keane left yesterday's 1-1 draw with Fulham with suspected ankle ligament damage and Lavery is now needed as cover.
He will now hope to feature for Wednesday in the Championship and is in contention to play against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.
The Northern Irishman scored three goals in eight appearances while on loan at the Spireites.
