Defender Ed Sanders believes that he has been handed a "great opportunity" after he secured a move to Sheffield Wednesday.
Sanders leaves Stoke City after previously being handed a two-year scholarship by the Potters, but despite failing to progress into the first team at the Britannia Stadium, the defender is excited by the chance that he has been given at Hillsborough.
The 18-year-old told the club's official website: "This is a great opportunity for me. You can tell after just five minutes of stepping through the door how big this club is and the history that goes along with that.
"Hopefully I can continue to develop and enjoy the experience over the course of the next year."
Sanders had started his career with Portsmouth before making the move to Staffordshire with Stoke.
