Ipswich Town began their pre-season preparations with a 4-0 victory over Shelbourne this afternoon.
The Championship side had the lead after 12 minutes when Paul Anderson swept home from 20 yards following smart work from Alex Henshall.
Paul Taylor came close to making it 2-0 with a free kick moments later, but his effort just moved wide of the post.
Ipswich did double their lead after 30 minutes, however, when Darren McQueen tapped home from close range following good work from Taylor.
Shelbourne's best chance of the half arrived five minutes before the interval when Alan Sullivan struck one from distance, but Dean Gerken was on hand to make a flying save.
Ipswich had their third of the match 20 minutes from time when Tyrone Mings planted a powerful header into the top corner, before Jack Marriott made it four late on.
