Besiktas have started their Europa League campaign with an away win against Skenderbeu Korce.
The Black Eagles were almost ahead inside the opening minutes as Ricardo Quaresma's shot was saved by veteran keeper Orges Shehi before Necip Uysal fired another chance wide.
Quaresma forced another stop out of Shehi before the Portuguese winger struck the woodwork as Besiktas tried to make their pressure tell.
The visitors finally took the lead after Cenk Tosun teed up Jose Sosa, whose powerful strike left Shehi with no chance.
After Sabien Lilaj missed an opportunity to equalise before the interval for the Albanians, who were knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers last month, Tosun squandered a chance to extend the Turkish side's lead.
Tolga Zengin was called into action for the visitors as he kept out Bernard Berisha's shot midway through the second half, but Besiktas were able to see out a narrow victory, which moves them second in Group H behind Lokomotiv Moscow.
