Sochaux have climbed out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone this evening courtesy of a narrow victory at Ajaccio.
The only goal of the game came on 10 minutes when Ajaccio defender Samuel Bouhours inadvertently deflected the ball beyond his own goalkeeper.
The result was harsh on the hosts, who were left to rue of combination of poor finishing from their attackers and excellent goalkeeping from Simon Pouplin.
Adrian Mutu alone registered at total of 10 attempts at goal, three of which were on target.
