Sochaux have earned a comfortable 2-0 victory over Lorient in Ligue 1, thanks to goals either side of half time from Roy Contout and Stoppila Sunzu.
Lorient should have taken the lead early on, but Yann Jouffre could only send his effort straight into the keeper's hands from the centre of the box.
The hosts made them pay with a goal in the seventh minute when Contout latched onto Cedric Bakambu's corner to guide the ball into the net.
Alain Traore supplied a teasing delivery for Lorient's Wesley Lautoa, but he sent his shot far too wide of the post.
Sochaux almost went into half time two goals ahead, as Sebastien Corchia crashed his effort from inside of the box wide of the left post following a counter-attack led by Bakambu.
The first-half miss wasn't to matter, however, as Sunzu sealed the three points with 11 minutes to go, as he climbed highest to head into the net following a free kick.
