Southampton manager Claude Puel has indicated that he expects a high intensity from his side when they face Arsenal in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
Puel has suggested that he will make alterations to the team which beat Everton on Sunday afternoon, but he insists that his players should still be able to put in a high-level performance in the last-eight clash at the Emirates Stadium.
The 55-year-old told reporters: "It's an important game. It's an opportunity to try to win something. All my squad is ambitious.
"The last game against Everton was a fantastic game, with good intensity and a good physical level. Every time we can rotate the team and keep the same philosophy. Arsenal are the same. It will be a good game of football."
Southampton are attempting to reach the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since 1987.
