Toby Alderweireld has admitted that a lack of creativity up front cost Southampton during their 2-0 defeat to Leicester City.
The Saints suffered a fourth loss in six Premier League matches on Saturday as they were downed by the Foxes at the King Power Stadium.
Despite commanding 69% of possession and creating 10 chances in front of goal, Alderweireld believes that Ronald Koeman's side could have done more to come away with a positive result.
"Everyone is working hard, but I think we are not creating chances to win," he told the club's official website. "I think the goalkeeper is not having too much to take. Every chance is a goal, so that's unlucky but we have to work very hard to end the season very well."
Southampton play their final home game of the season this Saturday when they welcome Aston Villa to St Mary's Stadium.
