Southampton midfielder Jack Cork has admitted that it has not taken the club's players long to warm to their new manager Ronald Koeman following the first week of training ahead of the new season.
Cork said that Koeman has brought with him a very knowledgeable coaching team and is confident that Saints can continue to improve on their excellent season last time out.
"He came in and introduced himself and all the players warmed to him immediately," Clubcall quotes Cork as saying. "We all came out of the meeting and said how excited we are and how fresh we feel for pre-season.
"Not only the manager but the staff he brought with him have all come and joined in straight away. All the lads have warmed to him. They all seem really good. They all know what they're talking about and hopefully they can help progress this club and take it forward in the way we want to keep going."
Cork joined Southampton in 2011 from fellow Premier League side Chelsea.
