Southampton manager Ronald Koeman suggests that his side's 3-1 comeback win over Chelsea came thanks to some improved pressing and movement away from home.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has suggested that his side's pressing and movement was crucial to their 3-1 comeback victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The visitings Saints had originally gone behind to a Willian goal, but strikes from Steven Davis, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle ensured that Koeman's charges added to Chelsea's growing woes this season.

"That's a confidence everybody needs. If we can show this against Chelsea we can show it much more," said Koeman, according to Sky Sports News.

"We had a difficult start to the game, but we came back and we made it 1-1 with a great goal. The difference was how we came out of the dressing room, pressed Chelsea and had fantastic movement. In my opinion, we totally deserve three points today. Maybe, if they had one penalty we had two penalties, that's a decision for the referee.

"We've had experience of going 1-0 down. We showed belief and close to half time we were the better team. We tried to play good football, offensive football because we believe in that way of football."

The victory moves Southampton into ninth place in the Premier League table after eight games this term.
