Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed that the possibility of achieving European football is providing enough motivation for his side ahead of the final three games of the campaign.
The Saints have recorded just one point from their last three games, but ahead of their trip to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon, Koeman has backed his side to deliver an improved performance to keep in contention with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
The 52-year-old told the club's official website: "I don't look at other teams, it's all about ourselves. We know normally the first six teams go to Europe. Then it depends on the FA Cup final of Arsenal and Aston Villa for the seventh place.
"That's the message for this weekend. To reach Europe, in my opinion, is enough motivation for the players."
Southampton have already achieved their highest ever points total in the Premier League.
