Watford have climbed to fourth in the Premier League table after claiming a 2-0 win over Southampton in Saturday's encounter at St Mary's Stadium.
Abdoulaye Doucoure opened the scoring on 38 minutes with a well-struck half-volley from 25 yards which left Fraser Forster helpless.
Substitute Daryl Janmaat had only been on the pitch for four minutes before he doubled Watford's lead with a fine 30-yard strike in the 66th minute following Tom Cleverley's headed flick-on.
Cedric Soares had Saints' only shot on target in the match, a long-range effort in injury time that was saved by Heurelho Gomes, as the Hornets ran out comfortable winners.
The result sees Watford continue their impressive start under Marco Silva, who has claimed two wins and two draws since replacing Walter Mazzarri.
Saints, meanwhile, slip to 10th in the table, having failed to score in four of their five matches so far this season in all competitions.
