Southampton have signed former Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 32-year-old Poland international has been without a club after he left Italian side Fiorentina over the summer.
"We're very pleased," Saints manager Nigel Adkins told the club's official website.
"Artur has great experience from Celtic and Fiorentina, and from playing from the national team in Poland.
"He now gives us a third goalkeeper in the building, which is important because the potential for injuries and people getting sent off means we have to cover ourselves. He gives us great back-up and competition."
Boruc won three Scottish Premier League titles, two Scottish League Cups and the Scottish Cup during a five-year spell with Celtic before he left for Italy in 2010.
