Southampton are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Lille's Idrissa Gueye and Jordy Clasie as they try to replace Manchester United-bound Morgan Schneiderlin.
French international Schneiderlin is widely expected to move to Old Trafford in a deal mooted to be worth around £24m.
According to the Daily Star, that development has led to Saints manager Ronald Koeman making a move for Gueye and Clasie this summer.
Gueye is valued at around £7m, although the Hampshire outfit may face competition for his signature from West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, Feyenoord are said to want £13m for Clasie, but may drop their asking price to nearer £10m in a bid to speed up the transfer.
