Luke Prosser has been chosen as one of the four nominees for November's League Two Player of the Month.
The Southend United centre-back joins Ollie Banks of Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge's Zavon Hines and Steven Schumacher of Fleetwood Town in being nominated.
Prosser was ever-present in a Southend defence that conceded just three goals last month as well as heading an injury-time winner against York City.
Chesterfield midfielder Banks joined the club only in September from non-league side FC United of Manchester.
He has embedded himself into the side quickly and scored two goals in November as Chesterfield went unbeaten with two wins and two draws.
Former West Ham winger Hines has over 20 Premier League appearances to his name and although his career petered out with the Hammers, he is thriving in League Two with Dagenham.
Last month he was on the scoresheet three times and also provided an assist as the Daggers kept up with the early pacesetters.
Completing the nominees is Fleetwood midfielder Schumacher, who is finding the net from central midfield regularly.
He began November with a hat-trick against Newport County before rounding off the month with a free kick in Saturday's 1-1 draw against league leaders Oxford United.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
