Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has admitted that winning against France at Stade de France on Tuesday will be "very difficult".
The reigning European and world champions will head into their World Cup Group I qualifier two points behind Les Bleus in second place.
"They have players with pace and the ambition to play football," he told reporters. "There are talented players such as [Karim] Benzema, [Franck] Ribery, [Yohan] Cabaye and [Mathieu] Valbuena.
"They have power in the full-back areas too, and are a very good team. When the draw was made we knew France would be very difficult opponents for us. They have quality, experience and know how to play games like these."
Spain were held to a 1-1 draw by Finland at home on Friday.
