Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he is eager to gain revenge over Tottenham Hotspur after a failed move to the club.
Aubameyang has claimed in the past that he was the subject of a move from Spurs back in 2012. However, the Gabon striker has revealed more information about his failed transfer to the North London club, saying that he visited White Hart Lane and Tottenham's training ground.
The Dortmund attacker told Bild: "Of course, this is once again an extra motivation. [Back in 2012] I was in Tottenham at the time, looked at the stadium and the training ground and we talked. But after that, no one stepped forward to see me."
A year after Aubameyang's failed move to Tottenham, the Gabon captain moved to Dortmund where he has since developed into one of the most consistent goal scorers in Germany, scoring 40 goals in all competitions last season alone.
Dortmund will face off against Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday night at Wembley Stadium.
