Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has described Christian Eriksen's display against Juventus as 'fantastic, amazing and outstanding'.
The Danish playmaker played a key part in dragging the Lilywhites back into the Champions League last-16 tie, capping a fine all-round performance with his side's second goal in the 2-2 comeback draw.
Pochettino was particularly impressed by the showing of Eriksen in the first-leg clash, while also praising the character shown by his players to recover from a couple of goals down early on.
"I think Christian had an amazing game. He was outstanding. He was fantastic," he told reporters at his post-match presser. "Christian is, in my few years, always an important player for us.
"He always steps up and I think he's this type of player who represents our philosophy. He's a player who links the team and he was fantastic. The team was great, but he was fantastic.
"The team showed great character and the good thing is that this is our fourth season and always we are improving in different aspects. This aspect was the last and it is necessary to try to be competitive and in the end fight for big things."
Tottenham are the first team to overturn a two-goal deficit at the Allianz Stadium since Juventus moved there in 2011.
