Tottenham Hotspur are being held to a 1-1 draw by NK Maribor at the break in tonight's Europa League match at White Hart Lane.
Jermain Defoe had given the hosts a deserved lead, but they conceded five minutes before half-time when Robert Beric capitalised on some woeful defending to get Maribor level.
Spurs went on the attack from the first whistle as Gareth Bale tormented the Maribor defence from the left side.
Their pressure paid off in the 22nd minute when Defoe guided the ball into the net from the Welshman's cross.
Bale had a chance to double his side's advantage midway through the half, but his tame effort was easily gathered by Jasmin Handanovic.
However, they were pegged back four minutes before the break as Beric charged down goalkeeper Hugo Lloris following Kyle Naughton's weak backpass before converting.
