Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes that teams playing in the Europa League should be given an extra day's rest by the Premier League.
Spurs have lost four matches playing on Sunday following their commitments in the European competition during the week, and the Argentine feels that his players would benefit from the extra time to recover.
"Maybe it is a good idea," Pochettino told reporters, when asked whether matches should be rescheduled to a Monday. "For Sunday, we are in the same position as Everton. They play in Germany [at Wolfsburg] and we play at home.
"Yes, maybe it is a good idea to play Monday. Why not? One day more is good for the players to recover. Yes, maybe it is a good idea."
Pochettino's men face Partizan in their Europa League clash on Thursday.
