Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has criticised the condition of the pitch at the Dnipro Arena following his side's 1-0 defeat to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Europa League.
Yevhen Konoplyanka scored the only goal in the first leg of the last-32 clash, but the Spurs manager believes that the state of the turf had a bearing on the game.
"The pitch was a disgrace, it is no excuse as both teams had to play on it but it is possibly the worst pitch I have experienced in a long time," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.
Roberto Soldado missed a glorious chance to put the visitors in front just before the hour mark, and Sherwood claims that the playing surface may have been to blame.
"He would expect to score," he said. "I haven't seen it again but I'm not sure he will be too complimentary about the pitch.
"I am not using it as an excuse, not for the chance, as both teams played on it but I am sure that it must have played some part in Robbie missing that one."
The return leg will take place at White Hart Lane on February 27.
