A penalty from Andros Townsend has given Tottenham Hotspur a 1-0 lead at the halfway stage of their FA Cup fourth-round tie against Leicester City this afternoon.
The Foxes had the first big chance of the match when Andrej Kramaric was found inside the box by Jeffrey Schlupp, but he saw his effort from close range saved by Michel Vorm.
Vorm was called into action again moments later as he kept out Schlupp's powerful drive.
Despite Leicester's good start to the match, it was Spurs who broke the deadlock in the 19th minute.
Roberto Soldado was fouled in the box by Liam Moore and Townsend stepped up to convert from the penalty spot.
Spurs had a chance to double their lead just past the half-hour mark, but Mark Schwarzer was equal to his effort.
At the end of the first half Leicester felt that they should have been given a penalty when Kramaric rounded Vorm and went down under the keeper's challenge, but instead the Croatian was booked for diving.
