Tottenham Hotspur will be bidding to return to winning ways when they welcome Bournemouth to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs suffered a 4-2 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday evening, with the defeat bringing to an end a three-game winning run in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou's side occupy fifth position in the table, which could potentially be enough for a Champions League position next season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Bournemouth, who have been victorious in each of their last four league games during an excellent run.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Bentancur picked up an ankle injury in the defeat to Aston Villa at the end of November, and the midfielder is expected to be out until the start of February.

Micky van de Ven

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Manchester United)

Van de Ven has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the beginning of November, but the centre-back has a chance of returning to action against Manchester United.

James Maddison

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Maddison remains on the sidelines with an ankle problem, and the attacker is unlikely to be available for selection until the end of January.

Ivan Perisic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Perisic underwent surgery on an ACL injury in September, and the Croatian is now facing a major battle to be available for selection before the end of the campaign.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Sessegnon is yet to feature this season due to a hamstring problem, and there is currently no indication when he could be available for selection.

Manor Solomon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Solomon has been sidelined since October due to a knee injury which he picked up in training, and the attacker is not expected to be available until the end of January at the earliest.

Alfie Whiteman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Whiteman is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a severe ankle injury, with the goalkeeper in a battle to return before the end of the campaign.

Cristian Romero

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Romero is facing a battle to return before the end of January due to a hamstring problem, and it is likely to be the start of February before he is seen in a Spurs shirt again.

Oliver Skipp

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: December 31 (vs. Bournemouth)

Skipp was unavailable for selection against Brighton due to a knock, but the midfielder is expected to be back in the squad for this weekend's clash.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Bissouma is serving a four-game suspension due to the red card that he was handed against Nottingham Forest, meaning that he will not be back until January 14 at the earliest, but the midfielder is set to represent Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations, so his return date is unknown at this stage.

Dejan Kulusevski

Status: Out
Possible return date: January 5 (vs. Burnley)

Spurs will be unable to call upon Kulusevski against Bournemouth, as the attacker is suspended due to the milestone yellow card that he picked up in the loss at Brighton.
