Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to return to winning ways when they welcome Brentford to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The North London outfit suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday evening, while they drew their last Premier League match against Manchester United on January 14.

Ange Postecoglou's side are currently fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and five ahead of West Ham United in sixth.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Brentford, who occupy 14th position in England's top flight, boasting 22 points from 20 games.

Manor Solomon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Solomon has stepped up his recovery from a knee injury, but reports of a return at this stage are thought to be wide of the mark, with the attacker needing at least a couple more weeks to recover.

Alfie Whiteman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Whiteman remains on the sidelines due to a severe ankle injury, and it is not thought that he will be available for selection until next season.

Alejo Veliz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Veliz suffered a knee problem against Bournemouth, and the attacker has been ruled out "for a couple of months", meaning that he is not expected back until the start of March at the earliest.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Lo Celso sustained a hamstring issue earlier this month, and the Argentina international is not expected to be available for selection until the middle of next month at the earliest.

Son Heung-min

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Spurs remain without captain Son due to his involvement in the Asian Cup with South Korea, and he is currently preparing for Tuesday's last-16 contest with Saudi Arabia.

Pape Sarr

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Spurs remain without Sarr due to his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Spurs are without Bissouma due to his involvement with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: January 31 (vs. Brentford)

Sessegnon has recently been sidelined with a hamstring problem, but he is expected to be available for selection against Brentford on Wednesday night.
