Tottenham Hotspur duo James Maddison and Manor Solomon could reportedly return in time for their FA Cup clash with Manchester City at the end of the month.
Maddison made an impressive start to his Spurs career, scoring three goals and providing six assists in his 11 league appearances since arriving from Leicester City in the summer.
The England international saw his fine run of form halted at the start of November when he picked up an injury in a 4-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Like his Spurs teammate, Solomon has also experienced a lengthy time in the treatment room, having been sidelined since September with a knee problem.
However, according to The Telegraph, Maddison and Solomon are hoping to recover from their respective injury issues in time for Tottenham's FA Cup meeting with Man City.
After beating Burnley in the previous round, Ange Postecoglou's side are set to play host to the current holders on January 26.
With Spurs currently on their winter break, Maddison is aiming to begin working with the group when they return to training on Monday.
Solomon, who signed on a free transfer in the summer, is also looking to prove his fitness ahead of the fourth-round encounter.
The pair could provide Postecoglou with another fitness boost after Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven recently returned to the side.
Postecoglou has also seen his squad bolstered by the January arrivals of defender Radu Dragusin and forward Timo Werner.
Despite bringing in a couple of reinforcements, the Tottenham boss is still having to cope without a number of players.
Spurs captain Son Heung-min is currently with the South Korea squad at the Asian Cup, while Senegal's Pape Sarr and Mali's Yves Bissouma are representing their respective countries at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile, Ben Davies, Giovani Lo Celso, Alejo Veliz and Ivan Perisic are in the treatment room, and the quartet are all expected to miss out against Man City at the end of the month. body check tags ::
