Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he is excited to face Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
The Magpies head to White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening, before facing rivals Sunderland at St James' Park on Sunday.
"We have a really big week in front of us in terms of two really big games. We will be trying to win them both," Pardew told BBC Sport.
"We are looking forward to Wednesday night and are excited about this game. It should be a cracking match.
"We've played really well in the cup and it's proved a turnaround to our season. Some players have made a name for themselves."
Newcastle won 2-1 when they last faced Spurs in October.
