Speculation has claimed that Tim Sherwood will be placed in charge of Tottenham Hotspur for Wednesday's League Cup tie against West Ham United.
The 44-year-old is thought to have been placed in interim charge of the senior side following the departure of head coach Andre Villas-Boas earlier today.
While he is not expected to be given the job on a permanent basis, Sherwood, who was part of Villas-Boas's coaching staff, will be in control until a replacement is appointed, according to numerous reports.
Former midfielder Sherwood spent four years as a player with Spurs up until 2003.
