Tottenham lineup vs. Coventry City: Predicted XI for EFL Cup third-round tie

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Wednesday's EFL Cup clash with Coventry City in the West Midlands.

Tottenham Hotspur could be set to hand a full competitive debut to 18-year-old Archie Gray as they visit Coventry City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

The England Under-21 international made the high-profile switch from Leeds United to North London over the summer for £40m and could earn his maiden berth in the starting XI after two Premier League cameos.

Staying on the topic of promising youngsters, Lucas Bergvall is likely to grace the pitch in Coventry, although it remains to be seen whether the Swede is included from the start.

Ange Postecoglou has spoken of Wednesday's clash with the Sky Blues as a chance to hand opportunities to some of his fringe players, so expect the likes of Ben Davies and Radu Dragusin to line up against second-tier opposition.

With the Spurs attack failing to click at the beginning of the top-flight term, Wilson Odobert and Timo Werner are likely to be given the chance to showcase their abilities at The Coventry Building Society Arena.

A victim of the Lilywhites' struggles up front, Dominic Solanke is yet to find the net since his £65m transfer from Bournemouth, with the towering forward set to retain his spot in the XI due to Richarlison's continued absence.

Whilst Yves Bissouma remains sidelined due to a knock, Pape Sarr is likely to earn a promotion from the Lilywhites' bench after appearing for the final 20 minutes against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham lineup possible starting lineup: Forster; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Davies; Gray, Sarr, Kulusevski; Werner, Odobert, Solanke body check tags ::
