Nabil Bentaleb has responded fiercely to Sam Allardyce's claim that Tottenham Hotspur were lucky to draw with West Ham United on Sunday.
Harry Kane scored a 96th-minute equaliser for Spurs at White Hart Lane as they fought back from two goals down to earn a point against their London rivals in the Premier League.
Allardyce suggested after the game that Kane dived to win the penalty that led to his goal, but Bentaleb has urged the Hammers boss to 'shut his mouth' and accept the result.
"He can say whatever he wants," Bentaleb is quoted as saying by The Guardian. "We scored a penalty in the last minute. Maybe it's because of this, I can understand if he's a little bit angry. But it's not true. Of course it was a penalty – there's no doubt about that.
"If he wants to argue, we could also say [Mark] Noble could have been sent off. But this is football. Sometimes the referee makes decisions and you just have to shut your mouth and not complain."
Spurs continue their Europa League campaign on Thursday when they travel to Fiorentina for the second leg of their last-32 tie following last week's 1-1 draw in North London.
