The FA have reportedly launched an investigation into Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier's confrontation with a fan on Wednesday night, with the Englishman set to undergo a lengthy ban as punishment.
After the North London side's FA Cup clash with Norwich City, which resulted in the Canaries going through on penalties, the 26-year-old entered the stands as he feared for the safety of his younger brother.
According to The Mirror, the FA have now asked Dier's version of the events - and the Spurs player is understood to be philosophical about any potential ban or charge.
A source close to the defender has revealed that Dier went into the crowd to help his brother Patrick, 22, after witnessing him in confrontation with a fellow supporter.
The fan quickly left the scene, before Dier was removed by security.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that he doesn't want the English international to be punished.
