Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen has revealed that he considers his former manager Frank de Boer to be the biggest influence on his career.
The Danish playmaker spent four years under De Boer's guidance at Dutch giants Ajax before leaving for Spurs in an £11m transfer last summer.
De Boer has been heavily linked with the White Hart Lane hotseat and while Eriksen has admitted to being happy with his relationship with current Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood, he has hinted that a reunion with the Ajax chief at the Lillywhites could only mean good things for him.
He told The Sun: "On a professional level, De Boer is the coach who has had the biggest influence on me.
"He understood me very well. He gave me the responsibility to play my own game, to get involved, to get the ball and show my talent.
"I only had good years with him so I don't have anything bad to say."
De Boer has claimed to have rejected a January approach from Spurs to take charge of the first team.
