Lewis Holtby's agent has insisted that the midfielder will fight for his place at Tottenham Hotspur under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The 23-year-old made just six Premier League starts for Spurs last season before joining Fulham on loan in January for the remainder of the campaign.
Despite reports that Holtby could begin looking for a club elsewhere, the midfielder's representative Marcus Noack has insisted that his client wants to remain at White Hart Lane.
"Lewis is optimistic about the future at Spurs," Noack told Sky Sports News. "There is a new manager there now which means it's a fresh start for him and a fresh start for everyone.
"He is happy at Tottenham and has a good feeling there. He wants to stay and prove himself and be part of the team."
The German international signed for Spurs last year under former manager Andre Villas-Boas.
