Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is selected in the provisional England Under-21 squad for the European Championship finals.

Harry Kane has been selected in the provisional England Under-21 squad for the European Championship finals this summer.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker has been included after scoring 30 goals for his club this season.

West Bromwich Albion frontman Saido Berahino, who was the top scorer in qualifying, has also been included.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has been left out of the 27-man squad at the request of club manager Louis van Gaal, but there is a first call-up for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has impressed for the Under-19s.

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has not made the cut, with a view to him being included in the senior England side for the forthcoming internationals in June.

The Three Lions head to Czech Republic for the competition next month, for which manager Gareth Southgate will trim his party down to a 23-man squad.
