Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has said that he was pleased with how he and Vincent Janssen combined during the 1-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino used Kane in behind summer signing Janssen as Spurs recorded their first win of the campaign, and the England international has suggested that he is excited by the prospect of playing alongside the Dutchman in future matches.
The 23-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I thought we played well together. He likes to hold it up and bring others into play.
"We created a lot of chances and on another day I think we both could have scored a couple of goals. If the manager wants us to play together throughout the season then we are more than capable of doing that. We will create a lot of chances and score a lot of goals."
Spurs are next in action when they host Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.
