Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he will continue to be without the services of Danny Rose and Etienne Capoue for their trip to Aston Villa this weekend.
Both players were sidelined prior to the international break, but Spurs were optimistic that Rose in particular may have been available to return for their match against Paul Lambert's side on Sunday.
Villas-Boas has admitted that it will be at least another week until the left-back will be back in first-team contention, but did have better news on the fitness of injury-plagued centre-back Younes Kaboul.
"Etienne is due to join the team next week," he told the club's official website. "Younes could be ready, we have to make a decision on him.
"Danny Rose has made substantial progress, he's now running and is probably one week away."
Capoue has been absent with a knee problem suffered in the North London derby, while Rose and Kaboul both picked up injuries in the Europa League victory over Tromso last month.
