Former Tottenham Hotspur defender John Scales has praised Harry Kane for his "fantastic" contribution to the team this season.
The 21-year-old striker has been in lethal form in front of goal since August, scoring 17 goals in 27 games.
Scales believes that the youngster should be credited for staying consistent during the first half of the campaign.
"Harry Kane has been fantastic this season. He has burst on the scene, scores a few goals and you wonder whether he can sustain it. But he has, and he has kept going, showing great maturity and he looks the real deal. He's got all the attributes to make it at the highest level," he told Sky Sports News.
Kane and his Spurs teammates return to action on Wednesday when they host Burnley in a replay of their FA Cup third-round tie.
