Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has revealed that he hopes Roberto Soldado, who scored the winner in the 1-0 win against Cardiff City, will go on to score "20 goals between now and the end of the season".
The Spaniard's winner in the 28th minute was his first goal in 2014, and Sherwood wants the striker to use it as a catalyst to transform his fortunes.
"Robbie scored goals in a top league in Spain. We know what he's capable of. I've stuck by him and I believe he will come good," Sherwood is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
"I just hope this is a platform for him to go on and score 20 goals between now and the end of the season."
Soldado joined Spurs last summer from Valencia for £24m.
