Tim Sherwood has revealed that he is hoping to have an instant impact as Tottenham Hotspur caretaker manager.
The former midfielder has been placed in temporary charge of the side following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas on Monday.
Sherwood's first game at the helm is on Wednesday against West Ham United in the League Cup quarter-finals, and he is keen to have a positive effect on the players ahead of the match.
"When you lose your manager, it's a change and you've got to listen to a different voice, but I'm hoping to get a few messages across in a short space of time so we can get a positive result against West Ham," he told Spurs TV.
"We have to get out there on the front foot and we have to impose ourselves on them as soon as we can during the game."
Fabio Capello, Glenn Hoddle and Michael Laudrup are among the early favourites to succeed Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane.
