Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly had a club-record £22m offer for midfielder Joao Moutinho accepted by Porto.
The Portuguese playmaker has been linked with Spurs all summer, with manager Andre Villas-Boas keen on a reunion with the 25-year-old, with whom he worked at Porto.
Following Luka Modric's big-money move to Real Madrid, Villas-Boas has the funds to launch a bid for Moutinho, who has an apparent release clause of £30m.
According to Sky Sports News, Spurs have agreed a fee for £8m less than that figure and hope to tie up a deal before tonight's 11pm deadline.
Moutinho has been capped 48 times by Portugal, scoring twice.
