Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to lure Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers to White Hart Lane as Harry Redknapp prepares to give England the green light.
The 65-year-old has been the overwhelming favourite to become the new Three Lions boss since Fabio Capello left his post in February.
It is understood that Redknapp will accept the offer from the Football Association next week, which would leave Spurs trying to convince Rodgers to move to the North London club, according to Goal.com.
It is believed that the 39-year-old coach is open to making the switch from Wales but Tottenham's hierarchy will not make a formal approach for the Northern Irishman until England's governing body begin discussions with Redknapp.
Meanwhile, reports emerged yesterday claiming that a number of players in the Spurs first team have complained to club chairman Daniel Levy about Redknapp's tactics.
