Dele Alli scored an 89th-minute leveller as Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to draw 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion in Saturday afternoon's Premier League clash at The Hawthorns.
Former Spurs winger Nacer Chadli sent West Brom ahead in the 82nd minute of action, but Alli prevented the Baggies from collecting all the points when he netted in the penultimate minute of normal time.
The result has left West Brom in 10th position in the Premier League table on 10 points, while Spurs have dropped to third position - one point behind leaders Manchester City and second-placed Arsenal.
It was the visitors that had the best of the opening 45 minutes at The Hawthorns, but Alli could only fire wide of the post in the 32nd minute, before Ben Davies and Christian Eriksen passed up opportunities in the closing stages of the first half.
Despite struggling for much of the contest, West Brom made the breakthrough in the 82nd minute when Chadli, who joined West Brom from Spurs in the summer, converted from close range after a scramble inside the Tottenham box.
Mauricio Pochettino's side had a chance to level just two minutes later when Davies steered a low effort towards the bottom corner, but Ben Foster saved as West Brom closed on an impressive three points.
Spurs had their equaliser in the 89th minute, however, when Eriksen squared the ball to Alli and the England international somehow found a route past Foster to ensure that the capital club continued their unbeaten start to the season.
The visitors came close to winning it in the 95th minute when Eriksen sent a free kick towards the top corner, but the ball smashed the crossbar as the points were shared following an enthralling second period.
