Dele Alli returns to the starting lineup for Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary's.

Dele Alli has been recalled to the starting lineup for Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League clash with Southampton.

The 25-year-old has shown flashes of quality under Antonio Conte in recent weeks but was an unused substitute in the Boxing Day win over Crystal Palace.

Lucas Moura claimed a goal and two assists in that encounter, but the Brazil international has now dropped to the bench to allow Alli to return to the first XI.

Japhet Tanganga also drops out of the side, with Ben Davies returning to the heart of defence alongside Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier in front of Hugo Lloris.

Harry Winks has also replaced Oliver Skipp in the third and final change from Sunday's win, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min once again joining Alli in the final third.

However, Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero both miss out through injury, and there is also no room for Steven Bergwijn in the squad.

Tottenham starting lineup: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Winks, Reguilon; Alli, Son; Kane body check tags ::
