How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Sheffield United

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Thursday night's Premier League clash with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur face their first away game since March 10 on Thursday night when they take on fellow European hopefuls Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Jose Mourinho's side ended a seven-match winless streak by beating London rivals West Ham United last time out, but they remain nine points adrift of the top four and have only won three Premier League away games in the last 17 months.

Sheffield United are in poor form themselves since the restart, though, with a four-game winless run and back-to-back 3-0 defeats in the league threatening to derail their push for Europe.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham could line up for Thursday's match.

Out: Juan Foyth (knee), Japhet Tanganga (back), Troy Parrott (appendix)

Mourinho left a number of notable names out of his starting lineup against West Ham, and the long-awaited return to winning ways in that match - coupled with a nine-day rest - means that he is unlikely to make wholesale changes.

Steven Bergwijn will be hopeful of regaining his place after scoring against Manchester United, but the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Erik Lamela may have to settle for a place on the bench once again.

There will still be plenty of firepower for the visitors to Bramall Lane, though, with Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Harry Kane among those in line to start.

Kane netted his 137th Premier League goal in his 200th game for Tottenham last time out, a tally bettered only by Sergio Aguero (138) in a player's opening 200 games for one club in the competition.

Mourinho has no new injury concerns to worry about, but Juan Foyth, Japhet Tanganga and Troy Parrott are all still sidelined.
